DOWN IN LOUISIANA is one of my favorite of all the SONNY LANDRETH albums. It has such an original flavor. All the musicans on this album were some of the finest I've ever heard. Mike Binet on drums and Mel Melton on harp and vocals are not currently playing with Sonny Landreth and Dave Ranson. They had a unique blend and creative response while working together. I also want to mention that this version of CONGO SQUARE is the original; and STILL the BEST. This is the album that started it all for SONNY LANDRETH; I can certainly see why.

My life was blessed the day I met you. Not only did we have parallel lives - same careers, same age, children the same age - we both had a love of life. Girlfriend, we have been to hell and back together, but what a ride it has been. You will never truly know how much I admire and love you, as do all my friends and family.
